Wireless internet

The cottage does not have a telephone land-line but the mobile phone reception is usually very good ( please check coverage with your supplier). It is usually possible to access the internet for checking emails etc. with our 3G wireless broadband connection (access code available from us).

However, this is the countryside and broadband reception is often less reliable and  the speed can be a lot slower than in towns and cities!. This is rural WiFi and it is not usually possible to download films and games etc.

If you need to use the telephone in an emergency please come to the farmhouse and use ours.

We have a gas barbeque available for guest use.

Free Range eggs are usually available in summer from our free range hens at the farmhouse

We have a wild flower meadow on Scothern Lane and a tree plantation running to some 30 acres. You are more than welcome to walk this land or have a picnic; we have provided footpaths to allow you to do this away from livestock. A map of our suggested route is at the cottage.

The area around the cottage is great for wildlife and we have an owl box in one of the big trees on the paddock and Barn Owls have successfully nested there for many years. The owls can be spotted flying around most days. There is also another breeding pair of Barn Owls on the plantation. Little Owls and Tawny owls also nest in our garden.

Based on our experience of renting holiday homes over the years we have tried to equip our holiday cottage using the best features of all of them and make it a real 'home from home'. Whether you are  sight seeing, bird watching, seal spotting, walking, cycling or just want to enjoy your holiday chilling out. Valentine Cottage offers a special place to relax, unwind and enjoy your holiday in Lincolnshire. We always welcome our guests' suggestions on how we can improve the cottage; and implement changes where practical. Thank you for your interest in our cottage and if you require further information please do not hesitate to ask.
